| Hockey Excellence Skills Program: To assist you in reaching the goals you aspire to, the 16 and 19s, as part of our ‘hockey excellence” package are announcing the addition of a very specific, goal orientated 5 skill (perfect skating, stick -handling, shooting, passing and checking …tactical ways of gaining puck possession) training format that will regularly take place through the season. This demanding program is designed to give you the platform to excel beyond the normal regular season team development. It will initially focus on skating technique perfection (through the use of video analysis, edge breakdowns of angles, depth and locking positions), explosive direct, lateral and stop and start speed with and without pucks and specialty edge training. As players consistently employ the “Sumo System” of skating excellence these techniques will be applied to the other 4 major skills. To give each player tangible goals in which to see the results of their extra effort, a proven system of hockey combines testing elements will be done regularly. This unique application of tests with and without the puck takes the competitive spirit within a player and gives them a benchmark in which not only themselves, but college coaches can see if they are players on the rise or are reaching a plateau. The goal is to in a fun and challenging way almost unconsciously force players to train outside their comfort zone in a method called over speed training, mastered by the great European players. |
| College Placement Program We are creating a College Advisory or Placement Program that will help parents and players gather enough of the right information to make a good decision on their daughters future.
